endlinks squeaking - replacment or greasing tips?
So i bought these custom endlinks from this guy on honda tech a while back. I don't remember who. Anyways it's two ball bearings on both ends so it can rotate and it's adjustable in length.
Can I say I HATE the crap out of it? So when I first got it, no squeaks and then it squeaks like a ******! Then I had to grease it and now it is quiet. Then it starts getting dirty and the grease i guess rubs off to one side and it squeaks like a ****** again. Any tips to completely make it quiet like as long as the sway bar stays quiet or should I get a new end link?
If new endlink, what is recommended? I saw some on here in the suspension forum no response tho. It looks exactly like stock but a tad bit thicker, will that do anything? It looks as flimsy as the stock.

I don't think the steel bearing endlinks are supposed to be used on daily drivers, but I can't say for sure. I would take them off because squeaking and greasing all the time is going to drive you nuts. I used energy suspension endlinks on both of my civics and my accord and never had/have any problems.
I like these endlinks because they're fat and strong as heck! That's the only thing I like them for. I have cleaned and regreased about 3-4 times already. I'm sick of doing it. Since my power jack doesn't fit under my car and I have to use my jack with my car and then use my power jack it's not worth it.
I searched for the endlinks you referenced but they aren't made for my car.
any other help?
These look identical to mine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Oh, you didn't specify front or rear and I just assumed it was the front. Maybe prothane makes links for your car, or Mako (it's an ebay brand but they seem identical to energy). I have to use my Honda jack and then my floor jack to lift my Civic too. Never stopped me from fixing anything. Its not that big of a deal.
I have the endlinks all around. so when i regrease i have to regrease all 4 and I hate playing with that grease. so hard to clean off the end link and put back on.
already did a light search for prothane didn't find anything. Mako search engine didn't really give back results.

Here is a picture of my endlinks a few months later after cleaning and regreasing. now it squeaks. I drive in the city mostly.

That's painful... I wonder how that held up..
bump for anyone who knows about dry spray lube.

Ya that looks pretty nifty. expensive too. Mine is also adjustable and wasn't that costly.
Still need a way to clean up the end links and grease them and not have to every year or maybe little less.

Yeah I have the same endlinks too. I purchased grey's endlinks from civicforums.com. Typically whenever I change teh oil on my car I check the endlinsk to make sure they're still tight and spray wd40. I'ts jsut ahbit for me when I change my oil since my car is up in the air. My guess its just water and city gung that chased teh endlinks to loose thier grease. After a while you jsut get use to the noise.
Yeh I know you can get used to it, but I don't want to. I want my car to be the way it suppose to be. Oh yeah WD40 attracts dirt. not the best solution. Use silicone spray/oil which is better. You can buy it off of airsoft websites such as airsplat.com.
what's that city gung thing you're talking about? does it really clean that grease like good?
