How to change the SLave Cylinder??
97 EX manual
I need to replace the slave cylinder (I know you usually would do the master at the same time but I am not going to). My manual does not really describe it well. Can anyone provide instructons or let me know if I need special tools that only mechanics will have?

Slave cylinder simply bolts on, 2 bolts. Then there's one hydraulic line to connect.
The rest of the job is bleeding the clutch. I bet your manual has instructions for that.

Simple hand tools. I think an 8mm open end wrench or line wrench, and a 12 or 14mm socket and wrench. Oh yeah, you will need someone to help you bleed the line too. Check the book. The slave and master are not replaced at the same time, only whichever is not functioning properly.

gotta do mine hopefully 2morrow in the am, cause my pedal keeps losing pressure. anyway my idea was to remove the left radiator fan and that should be enough clearance to do the slave cylinder.

Is your brake pedal slowly sinking to the floor under moderate pressure? Like stopped at a red light? That would be a bad master cylinder, not slave.
oops... I meant clutch pedal. I get so accustomed to answering the same question that I didn't actually read it.

nah my clutch pedal was losing pressure. i got in my car one night and it was halfway to the floor, i had to put pump it to get pressure. but anyway i fixed it this weekend. the problem seems solved caused now i have full pressure!!!!!!!!!! YAY.
OK just for future reference for those who will be doing their slave cylinders
i have a 94 accord coupe (CD7)
you will need a ratchet and a 10 mill. socket and a box wrench i think it a 10 mill or 11 mill not sure, but I AM SURE IT's not a 12
now before i did this repair i was brain storming on how i could do it easier(read my previous post) and it turns out you are better off doing everything from the engine bay. Now if you have big hands you will end up with some busted knuckels other then that it's simply remove and replace.
anyway here's a step by step process on how to remove your slave cyl. (sorry no pics)
1. open bleed screw (u will need a wrench) also connect a small hose to bleed screw and stick hose in a bottle ( get a big bottle).
2.using your box wrench un-hook the clutch hose (get ready for some bruised knuckles, LOL)
3. by now you should have removed your clutch hose, get that 3/8 ratchet and that 10 mill. socket remove those 2 bolts (note: everyone has their preference on doing things , mine was to remove those 2 bolts from the engine bay, you can do it from under the car but i found it a pain) O get ready for more bruised knuckles!!!!!!!!!!
4. put on your new slave CYL. and get fresh brake fluid i used oem from honda fill up your master resevoir and get someone to pump your clutch pedal, you can do it yourself for the record. Also with new slave cyl. it may take some time to get fluid to shoot thru the bleed bold hence getting pressure on the pedal. anway that be it folks enjoy your slow *** honda.
