Default update on zex on auto trans

I got my 55 wet shot installed on my 95 civic with auto trans. It pulled really hard for about a half sec but it hit before full throttle some how and there was not enough fuel to support the spry and it back fired. It blew my intake off the manifold, lost some vac lines and blew my map cin. My intake filter was really jacked, We fixed every thing that day but I am running no intake until I can get another today. I also go in next monday to get my car check to see why the Spry hit before full throttle.

I have heard of people blowing there whole engines so if you have minimal damage your lucky. I run a 55 shot but am also running a fully upgraded fuel system, and running always better than 92 octane plus octane booster. I recommend Lucas Octane Booster, better for your engine and a little cheaper than most, no complaints yet. I never spray below 3000 rpm either. You have to be smart with it just as if you were boosted, you can do just as much damage with any high horsepower mod, especially if your all stock.

I blew my intake off too with a 50 shot wet, a long time ago before I had a window switch, didn't do any major damage...

You blew your intake off because you bogged it off the line, below 3000rpm, get a window switch. If the nitrous nozzle is too far away from the throttle body the same thing can happen

The plan was to get up 3-35000rmp and got full throttle so it would spry but as soon has I hit the switch it spryed and I was only at 35-30% throttle pre my VFACII. I was trying to be smart but I guess something happened with the install. Then again I guess putting spry on a car it not very smart in the first place . Oh well I get it checked on Monday and if everything gets fixed try it again, I guess I will never learn.LOL!!!

Hmmm... Interesting... I have a brand new Carbon FIber TupFuel Zero1000 Power CHamber Intake and I bought the Zex intake filter... That is probably a little too far, huh? You got me thinking... Because that was a $300 intake.

That only applies to a wet kit. Since that ZEX filter only accepts a dry nozzle I assume your using a dry kit, don't worry about it

Wow. Hooray for nitrous. I don't know, I've heard worse nitrous horror stories. You should be happy you weren't running too big a shot. I've seen shattered, burning intake manifolds before...and that's near the bottom of the list of **** nitrous can do to an engine if it feels like it.

Nitrous is a touchy upgrade, and I'll never go near the stuff.
