Hi all,

I've just found that some kit are made to fit H22A engine that I love in DA Integra. I want to do some lapping/autocross with the car. Here's my questions:

1- Will I be able to keep the Power Steering system???

2- Will this motor that is heavier than a B-Serie will affect a lot in lapping/autocross?

3- Would I be able to use YS1 LSD Cable tranny with this?

4- The H22A is 35lbs heavier than a B-Series engine, will I be able to take around 35lbs of the front with weight reduction? (JDM Front bumper suport, CF hood, A/C removal .etc)

1- I'm going to says no, but may be possible if you made new hoses to go to the pump. With the way the car handles, I would just go without.

2- No. Race track suspension will make this change negligible.

3- Yes. If it is the B16 high gear model, it will make the H22 VERY fun to drive.

4- Yes. CF hood, JDM support, no A/C will lost the 35lbs and probably about 10lbs more.

 

you can also remove the balance shafts from the h22 and save 10 lbs

 

Can you tell more about the balance shaft swap?? What balance shaft I need to put to save another 10lbs? And last questions, where is situated that balance shaft?

balance shafts come completely out. kaizenspeed.com makes a kit to remove them. Search and youll find tons of info for it
