Default just got an accord! what would u suggest for me.....

Whats up guys! I was a proud original owner for a 1993 Civic sedan 5 speed, sold it last week and purchased today a 1999 pearl white Accord EX coupe! car runs great, ONLY 50,000 miles!
Bought it for 7.5 g's here in NJ!

What would you guys suggest would be the first thing to do to a car? take it to Honda and get a complete tune up? how much would that cos?

As far as upgrades Im gonna put Alpine Type % speakers all around, 4 channel alpine amp, and a Kenwood indash double din dvd/navigation unit DNX7100

Thanx, def a great car!

Most audiophiles would suggest to take out the rear speakers and put a good set of component speakers in the front and subs in the back. And you probably should have taken the car to a mechanic before you bought it, unless you bought it from a dealer.

well I got the car fax of the car, I also owned hondas my whole life, and the car is MINT...the interior has no wear and tear, because thats the best way to determine if the miles have been rolled back.

As far as speakers Ill put 6.5 type R's in the front...and 9*9 Type R's in the back...well see if ill really need a box right away...

I figure complete tune up at a Honda dealer should be good..but should I go to Honda dealer or my local mechanic would be fine?

Are you looking for performance mods or what? I would suggest just putting a CAI or SRI on it to start, that alone adds MINOR improvements, and sounds really nice. Then maybe lower it a little, new exhaust, upgrade to HID's, whatever you feel like. I would do an intake first, you can get one for >50 on eBay, and just slap a K&N on it, its what most do, then I would work on the audio.

Idk I might work on the audio before the preformance. I hate to say it but I'd rather have a nice sounding stereo than the .5hp you might gain from a CAI. As for the taking out rear speakers and just using components up front and subs in the rear, I've had people suggest that to me. I tried taking out my rear speakers and wasn't happy at all with the result. I liked having a little sound to fill in the rear. As for speakers the Alpines are pretty good imo. I run a set in the rear of my Accord and like them a lot. Another brand I'd check into is Polk. They make great sounding speakers at a decent price. I had a set of Polk Momo's and they were pretty impressive. A buddy bought them and has upgraded his stereo several times since he got them and thats the only part of it he hasn't changed. He still tells me how much he loves them.

oil change
tranny flush
belt checks
radiator flush
check all fluid levels IE break, coolant, wipers, PS, etc

by yourself, jack up the car, find anything loose or squeaky here and there and tighten her all up.

sounds like a pretty sweet ride. pearl white coupe...mm yum.

Thanks guys, got the car 2 days ago, brought it over to my friend at HONDA dealership, he did oil change, and took a look at the car said is mint! He also told me that accords 99 and up don't need tune up till 100,000 miles so all I need to do is change oil.
Tints are def coming soon, and indash dvd with speakers...but the factory speakers are nice too!

That's what I said. But then I got tired of them and upgraded. And don't get rear speakers. It's a waste of money. If you have good speakers up front, it should get loud enough for you. I'm only running fronts and I can be doing 80+ mph with all the windows down and I still hear the music over the road noise.
