Default GSR motor potenital???

Hey everyone, I am going to buy a 98 Civic hatchback this weekend.
I have been reading this forum for few months and I still have very little knowledge about Honda's engine, so please help me. I want to do an engine swap in the end of this year. A K20 swap will be great if I have 9k to spend…... So I am thinking about B18 GSR swap. A JDM GSR swap will cost me around $4500, the problem is I used to own a 91 MR2 with 3sgte engine. It makes around 220whp, it is not a lot but it is good enough for mountain. My question is, will it be hard or cost a lot to make 190+whp on GSR motor? The dyno graph from Jackson Racing shows that stock GSR motor makes around 150whp(maybe more or less). Sure you can boosted it, but I live in Georgia, I have to do emission test every year, so I cant not decided to save more and wait for K20 swap or just swap GSR motor and (boost it or build it)…… Please help me and sorry for the newbie’s question, thanks.

Sure dropping a K20 will be very nice, some people would be patient and wait, me, I would build it and boost, upgrade internals and boost... IMO...

$4500 for a JDM GSR swap?! You could get a JDM ITR swap for that price
