Default Half-core radiators, pictures and how do you guys mount half cores in a DC chassis?

I bought a brand new fluidyne full core radiator and found out today that the header I'm ordering would require a half core radiator. I want to know how you guys mount this in your DC chassis the RIGHT/Correct/NON GHETTO way. When I was turbo in my DC2 I fabbed and welded up some aluminum brackets but it still didnt look the way I want it to. I want a clean look, so show me what you guys do and what are my options?

BTW, does the Delso SI radiator mount up to the stock location?

Yeah but there are two feets. What I did when I used to have a half core is I cut about 1" of aluminum rod and welded it to the bottom of the radiator so I could fit fit a second foot. But what I am asking is besides cutting and fabbing, is there another way of installing a half core into a DC?

if you want the best fit you need to cut and reweld...but there is always zip ties and duct tape

I didn't know there was one that's a direct fit. What was described above is the popular method.

just having it sit in the passenger "foot" will be fine. Then I flattened out one of the top rad brackets and used a 8mm bolt and nut in oem hole on the upper rad support.

i had mine like that and it just felt cheesy

just take the driver mount off (drill out spot welds) and weld it in the correct location that a half-core radiator is needed while using the passenger mount

Yeah my setup before I made new aluminum brackets but it looked aftermarket. I wanted to know if there was another solution so it looks OEM. But I'll figure something out

use the oem brackets but just reposition them, everything is fairly simple with the use of a spot weld drill bit and a mig welder

Thats exactly what I did before. But I still had to bend my radiator stay.

there is another solution to mounting up the half style radiator to a dc chassis.

home depot sells long rods of steel/aluminum. buy the flat ones(but thick enough to supports the weight of the radiator w/ coolant, and also the bumps vibratioons from driving). you'll want it just lng enough to go from tab to tab of the bottom mounts. while you have that flat strip(more like bar) of steel going across, use a good size bolt to act as the original feet of the stock radiator. reuse the rubber bushing on the bolts(feet) so it sits snug.

you then hav a whole new bar(the one you just put in) to drill out where ever you want to position the radiator.

^^i know that the info i gave you is very vague. there will be minor fabing involved. thats only a start to set you started.

oh, btw... this way if you ever want to change back to the full size rad. you still have the original mounts in their original location.

enjoy

If you have AC it's not worth it.

Most are doing this for turbo clearance and weight reasons.
