Default Drag suspension setup

Hi guys, I have a turbo ef civic with about 500 whp.and i have a big big problem with traction.My current suspension is Skunk 2 drag launch with energy suspension bushing and as i use it for the strip i have the drag slicks mt 26/8.5/15. (see my garage)
Can somebody help me which suspension i have to use to improve traction and also i have a jdm 96 spec tranny with the 4.4 fd

not sure what else you have but motor mounts traction bar LSD all help along with your quest for better traction!

i also have the skunk2 drag springs with the AGX shocks + the above obviously your making FARrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more power then me however should be a good starting point!

I have already an lsd ,Hasport motor mounts and traction bars on the way.Some other ideas please?

Limit straps help eliminate the up travel of the front end.

what is the spring rate on the front and rear? what are u launching at and what is the tires pressure?

I have 900 rear .I launch with 6000rpm and tyre pressure set to 10psi (cold), but my problem is also on second gear.I have all the second gear spinning

do you do a first gear or second burnout? you have a good spring rate . i wud think ur tires are not getting heated up enough

I am doing a 2nd gear burnout. I have the hks evc pro boost controller but don't know if i can set a gear dependent boost

I just bought then from summit about 2 months ago.I think i can do a 3rd gear burnout but i have a single plate clutchmasters stage 5 and i think it would spin the clutch

Sorry to get off topic but do you know my customer Marlon Mifsud? It has been awhile since I have heard from him


Back on subject , I have a strange feeling that your track in Malta may not be prepped very well either. Do they put VHT down on the track? Do the other say RWD cars hook up there well?

My et 10.66, traps 136.86 and 60's 1.89.Ihave no anti lag as i use apexi power fc.I launch at 6000rpm

About Marlon i know him well i Have built his engine,he sold his itr and he has a s2k on his mind.About the strip,the rwd hook well and they use some vp stuff for the track

yeah 10psi is pretty high on slicks not sure what people are doing with the moster truck 26's though. is it just me or does 6000 seem pretty low to launch too. especially with no antilag.

that should help your ET we run 6-8 psi (with tubes)
most of the time around 6psi.
omni was the best set up for us, and the price is not that bad.

i agree with dropping the trie pressure. 6000 is not a bad launch point at all depending on what you are shifting at. just try what they were saying and drop the pressure than heat up the tires real well and go for it.
