Default Totalled?? What do you think?

Well my girlfriend got in wreck tonight. It's a 98 honda civic ex Automatic with about 120K miles on it so it is worth about $5000 in KBB...

Here are the pics... tell me if you think it is totalled or not insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow i believe

Its only a loss if you dont have the money to fix it. but you have to weigh in the cost of the repair and the value of the car. Is the repair gonna be more than what the car is worth??

I'd say it's done, but that isn't a bad thing for you. I have a 93 rusted coupe commuter car that was hit very lightly in the back that wrecked the rear bumper and bumper support. KBB seemed to say about $1800 was what it was worth, but the insurance guy comes over with a different little book and it says $2575. They basically sent me a check for $2575 minus $100 (me "buying" my car back), and I keep the car, no title change or anything. Basically, I just got paid and then bought a $40 rear bumper at the junk.
