You can stroke any block, stroking the head would be the equivalent of bumping the compression ratio on your shift linkage.

You're asking if it's possible to port and polish a head?
If you're asking if you can personally do it, then no, if you don't know if you can you probably shouldn't.
If you're asking if it's possible, you should lurk more before you post.

Better yet, why not just use your other car in your sig as you DD, not do this swap and just work on the K?
Pics of said K please
Not doubting that you have it...just love that motor

ok i want to port and polish a z6 head then put it on my a6 block with a strocker kit. am wanting to know if i can do that or does it all have to be stock? The k 20 is in El paso at my sisters house i plastic rap the hell out of it. it will come home wit me sum time next month. dont have money for that swap because am working on my z ride (blow my motor) so most of my money is for my 300zx. the crx was just to get me around but shi# happens..

The cost of properly stroking the d16 would either match or exceed the cost to swap the K if you already own the engine. As far as I know there really aren't good stroker kits for the d-blocks, and the cost of a good port and polish by itself is pretty high.
That's not to say it can't be done....but there's a reason nobody does it. If you want a stroked d-block, you should probably just get a b series.

ok thanks. theres a old man that does dam good head jobs out here and all my friend take there heads to him. I could just repair (new parts) the block alone then just get a 3 angle job on the head? I really dont want alot of horse power right off the bat Because my girl still wants to drive it dont want her to jack nothing up.. so no K for her yet..
