Default Need help!

Hey i was wondering if anyone knew what can cause someones idle to stay up as in around 2000rpm but if i press the accelerator quick it goes down !! I just changed throttle bodies and now it does that!! It didint use to do it. Could it be that i need to adjust my throttle cable? Thanx to everyone who inputs

Well, if that's the only thing you changed, i'd take a look around that area. It seems logical that it would be that.

Who changed the throttle body? you or a shop? If a shop take it back. Also what throttle body is it? Check the gasket.

Yeah, it sounds like the throttle body gasket tore and it's sucking air in through the leak (vacuum leak = high idle).

Either that or your butterfly's getting jammed.

EDIT:
If it's the original gasket, they usually tear when you pull it off, so replace with a new one and make sure you scrape all the old gasket off or try to find where it's leaking and use that "form-a-gasket" ****.

Now we you reffer to the butterfly **** how can i fix cuz it seems to be that!! If i accelerate it stays in high rpm then i go press alittle in the throttle butterfly and it goes down
