2 wire IACV swap
Ive got the stuff that I need and know i need the switch the pin at the connector. I want to know if I can do that on the stock y7 ecu. If i change the pin, and cut the 1 wire, will it run with my ecu that I have? I am about to go turbo, and am getting a phearable basemap and obd2-obd1 conversion harness, but want to get as much done as possible before i take it to my shop to get all my welding done. I have an a/t tranny manifold on there now, with the stock y7 throttle body, and it works fine, but i want to go ahead and do the 2 wire setup. so does anyone know if it will idle fine on the stock ecu?
nope, you can't run a 2 pin on a y7 ecu.
when you do switch over though, i would recommend "re-pinning" and not cutting and splicing. undo the wires from the connector with a pick or pocket screwdriver and clip them into the new connector. it'll be much cleaner and more reliable.

yeah, thats what i am planning to do, sorry if i didnt say that. that sucks, just more work for me to do the same day. ive got just a few more things to get and then im getting started, hopefully in about 2 weeks. getting ready to take out my a/c tomorrow. there wont be anymore room for it when im done. i may just plug the phearable ecu and do the manifold swap before i get to the shop, it should run just to get me there, it will just read "off boost" atleast thats what im hoping for.
