where does this bar go on the type r?

 

Looks like the trunk brace bar to me.

its not the trunk bar, its to small it could be for the rear subframe?

Just went out a looked, and I think it's for the rear subframe. Like previously stated, it's too small to be the trunk bar.

Yeah, they do.

But via the caR in my garage, they're not.

Its the stock itr tie bar/rear subframe bare. Unless you have a type r subframe or custom fab some brackets to weld onto your subframe, it won't fit on any other car.

Yup, both the bars look pretty close to the untrained eye, the trunk brace is a little longer then that and curve more near the mounting holes. That definitely the rear lower tie bar.

 

actually. the pix is crappy. using lg phone with camera. cant afford a real deal.
