91 integra LS/Vtec HELP!!
i got a 91 integra ls which i just put a 95 GSR b18c1 (p72) head on. The Car starts up and stall immediately. We continue to have spark while cranking, but all 4 fuel injectors aren't spray once then they decide to go on strike. The ecu does throw a code until you crank it about 20 secs then it throws a code 8 for the TDC sensor. But we just replace the distributor and it still throws the code. The cam timing and ignition timing is right. We check continuity between the distributor and the ecu. We also check the sensor in the distributor and all check out good. The only thing I could think it would be is the ecu, which is OBD0. I have 2 computer for the car and still throws the same code. Do I need to switch to OBD1 computer? I seen the conversions done using the ls computer but they where all 94 and up LS w/ OBD1 ecu.
I don't know if the ECU is the culprit for the issue you described, but you are definitely going to need an OBD1 ECU for your LSV.

which injectors are u using? basically match your ecu with the injectors and dizzy. also what manifold are u using? if ur using the gsr i have the secondary butterflies and iab sensor to hook up. unless the ecu is told to not look for one. what ecu u using?

when i did my ls/vtec in my integra i used a 2000 b16 head and converted my injectors, ecu(chipped p28), distributor, and a few sensors on the intake manifold all to OBD1 then got a OBD0 --> OBD1 jumper harness to make the ecu work with all of those parts.
im using the 91 ls peak and hold injectors and obd0 ecu. I have a ls obd1 computer and injectors that I was going to wire in but I wanted to make sure it was the computer before I bought the jumper harness. Does anyone know if the Ls obd1 computer will work?

nope, it has to be a VTEC computer. SOHC or DOHC works.

why cant a obd1 LS computer work. What so different between a vtec computer and a LS other than the computer controls vtec which can be done by a rpm window switch.
that guy on topof this dont know what the hell he talking about. u can use a vtec controller or a rpm activator. ive done many times for ppl that didnt want to pay for a vtec ecu. rpm activator would basically put a power lead to the vtec solenoid to turn on and the vtec controller is what it is, controls vtec to turn on. itll work fine. i i personally would rather run a vtec ecu over that setup. for base map, fuel, air ratio etc etc
