i want to make a box around my intake filter anyone got any plans, ideas, or even done this thanx guys

 

why not a cai ?

 

i have CAI but i want to put a box around it so it only sux up cold air and not any form the engine bay got me??

 

a cai goes to the bottom of the car so it shouldnt be sucking up any air from the engine bay, maybe you have a short ram.. but i've seen these things for cars (i think by k&n) that blocks it off and has some kind of foam/rubber stuff on the top edges so itll seal when the hood is down, i wouldnt imagine making one yourself would be too hard
