Quick A/C Question
Hey Guys,
Got a quick question.. On a 2003 Honda Accord V6 6spd with the automatic a/c, what should the high, and low sides of the a/c system running at? i am at 22/150 right now... To me the high side seems perfect, and the low seems about 10 pounds to low.. But this is my first honda, so i am not sure how they run.....I had always = thought low 30's was normal.. It was about 95 degrees today, and not much sun.... If That helps any...
Thanks
Matt

If it was 95F outside when you took the readings, system is undercharged.
Was the suction line sweating? It should sweat up to the compressor.

No it was "cool" to the touch.. not cold or even cold enough to sweat by any means.. but the compressor was not cycling in and out it was running continuously. What should ideal pressures be at about that temperature?? From what i have always seen they should be in the low 30's but that was'nt on honda's, so im not sure how they run....
You should be around 30psi or about 35F temp to prevent evaporator from freezing up.
If it is at 22psi, refrigerant temp is at 25F and may cause the evaporator to freeze up while cruising.
