i'm not tryin to spend that much money but if you get one thats inexpensive than the other is it gonna make much of a difference ?
where's a place where i can get a compression tester?

sears, pep boys, autozone. they're like $20-30 bucks.
i hope you know compression and leakdown testers are two different things, judging by your thread title.

i would much rather buy a new comp. tester than a used one. maybe if it was used once or twice. i don't care if it's snap-on or matco
I bought mine from sears....39.99? 49.99? can't remember, used it prolly 30-40 times
and i've had it for approx. 3 years
