rust repair
I have normal quarter rust on my 88 crx si, and i have rust repair panels for the quarters and rocker panels. my questions are, when i use the new panels as a template for cutting, should i use a sawzaw or a dremel? and should i cut the old quarters right along the line traced? of above or below it.
and i have welding experience with exhausts, but i've never owned a welder or welded body panels.
what welder around 400 bucks would be good for this job and other small jobs, including a gas tank?
thanks and any input appreciated

yes use the new quarter as a template, leave a bit of room for ajustment. 1/8 to a 1/4 inch should be fine.
so trace it out and then just messure a 1/4 inch on the inside along the line as sson as your happy with it ,cut it out
i did all my cutting with a 4inch grinder and a few cutting wheels ,i think a dremel would take to long and a sawzall would be a bit much
for the welder you have to get a pro to come in and set it up for you
if you have any other questions ,pm me and you can allso check out my project page ,i just did this not to long ago ,its in the classics fourm
