Well I have my whole suspension out about to throw in all new parts and Im chasing a whining noise on the drivers side of the gets louder with rpms. Makes it sound turbo charged. It started making this noise when I drove through a flood and my steering rack was busted up and leaking so I think water may have gotten in it and fried the pump. Im also changing the timing belt water pump and all drivebelts knowing it could be one of these. Is it safe to start the car with some of the Atf out and the axles not in if i keep it in park? Its easier to acess the pulley bolt with all this out.
