How tough is it to take off the IM and paint it?
I am too poor to go and get a nice looking IM, so I'd rather just do it with the heat resistant paint I used on my calipers.

 

Not too tough, remove the fuel line,fuel rail, and injectors. Then theres 4 or 5 bolts on the top and then again on the bottom of the IM. Then theres a pain in the *** bracket that you need to unbolt to get it completely off. On a scale of 1 to 10 id say a 4.
