hey all, i recently replaced my ignition cylinder and all door lock cylinders, now when i have the door open and no key in the ignition, the door chimes, I cannot remember, is it supposed to do this?

Off the top of my head, I would say there's probably something in the ignition key cylinder that's telling the car that the key is in there when it isn't. I'd try to find that wire and make sure it's hooked up correctly or whatever. Unfortunately, that's about the limit of my knowledge of that stuff.
