MAP SENSOR PROBLEM ON 95EX wit JDM B16A
SO I SWAPPED A B16A INTO MY 95 EX. I GOT THE MOTOR OFF HMO.COM
EVERYTHING WENT SMOTH UNITLL I GOT CODE 3 (map sensor)
AFTER LOOKING FOR IT FOR A WHILE I REALIZED I DIDNT HAVE ONE
I BOUGH ONE AND HOOKED UP THAT LITTLE VACCUME LINE OFF THE THROTTLE BODY BUT IT STILL GAME ME THE CODE...
I HEARD ABOUT EXTERNAL MAP SENSORS ON OLDER TEGG'S BUT KINDA IFFY ABOUT IT. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!
IF YOU KNOW WHAT I NEED CAN YOU ALSO TELL ME WERE TO GET IT,
P.S I wanna do this with out having to change my throttle body. Thats a last option!

not sure exactly if jdm civics were set up like here int the states, but 92-93 civics have a map sensor on the firewall.
you won't have to replace you throttle body, just get the bracket and the external map sensor and call it a day.
as for still having the code, either you still have a faulty sensor or you need to reset the ecu, or it's a code 5. to reset the ecu, disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes and the ecu should be clear.

Ive got the whole External Map sensor done. And after re-seting the ECU. Im still gettin the code. I read im supposed to have 5volts to the wire that goes into the sensor. But when I checked it I only had 1.45
Do you guys know what could cause his problem?
