could i do 10psi of boost safely on a stock rsx-s

 

as long as u have a tune! ive seen people on k20a.org that have ran 28psi on bonestock motor, but they have a very good tune! I know a guy here where i live that did 10psi tuned with a HKS GT35R turbo, he put down 409whp at 10psi pump gas, bonestock block, bonestock head, just 880cc injectors and k-pro its all about the tuner.

 

the k motors have been able to handle turbos ... you will only blow your engine if you boost over 30 lbs stock but a tune will really help you ... i saw a video of some guys trying to blow a stock k motor with a turbo in it ... the car was sitting on a dyno and boosted about 42lbs ... lol check it out ... cheesefrog.com ... its an eg with a k20

 

I have a hard time believing he ran over 30psi and didnt blow his engine... now i would say you should stay under 15psi if you are using it as a DD if now then ya 30psi will last you about 10 runs down the 1/4 mile. Its like saying i can run 42 psi on my stock evo engine "4g63" its been done but its not like they are driving the car much they just do it for dynos and then tune it down. You also have to have a turbo that can handle that "gt35".
