GSR w/ b16 head into 88 EF....clearance issues??
hi everyone
i plan on doing a gsr swap into my ef pretty soon but have heard that this swap is a bitch and a half to do....could someone tell me why?
on hybrid honda it says the motor sits too high so they lowered the stock mounts and now the motor sits 2 -2 1/2 inches off the ground...what if they hadnt lowered the motor and instead modded the hood would i have problems like them w/ the main pulley eating at the lower tie rods?
is the gsr block taller than the b16? or is only the head?
i have a b16 head and if i use that instead of the gsr would that eliminate these clearance issues?

If you use a mount kit, most likely you wont have a problem because of the way they tilt the motor and change the rear mount. I rewelded my mounts in my 89 Si and my GSR engine hits the hood because I chose to have more room downstairs. Pick your poison.
