Insurance question concerning "collision"
I just looked at my motorcycle policy and realize I could drastically lower my big *** payments by taking off Collision coverage, as it's nearly 60% of the total amount on my policy. I would still have comprehensive, liability, uninsured/underinsured, etc though.
Is removing collision and still being considered fully covered by my finance company possible?

So then, if you run into a guardrail by yourself, insurance will take a look at you and your medical bills and laugh? Sounds like a great idea.

I believe your finance co. is going to require you have collision. However, finance co. all check these in different ways. Some may not check at all
But you DIDN'T hear that from me.
I'd keep it on personally until the loan is paid off.

Collision coverage only covers your vehicle, not the medical bills

Most people lower the coverage on financed cars/bikes after reporting to you finance company that you have full coverage. You run the risk of either the finance company finding out or if you total the bike yourself you could get screwed.

I don't carry collision on any bike... Maybe if it was a garage queen and I only took it to bike night or something but not worth it. The $1000 I saved I can use to fix the thing if I crash

Think of it this way....
If you total your bike and have collision then your bike will be paid off by the insurance company.
If you total your bike without collision...you end up with no bike...and are stuck making payments for a totaled bike.

I thought if you go though dealership like Honda or Suzuki. You get a credit card and its charged on that so therefore you don't need full coverage. But i don't know never financed one.
ya suzuki didn't require full coverage with their card, jokes on them i just went for the 6 months 0% interest, gonna be mad when 5 months and 15 days in they get a check for the full amount owed on the bike
