how do you bridge an amp?
it depends on the amp if it is possible or not.. look on the amp to see if there is a diagram for "bridged" generally you connect the "+" terminal of 1 channel and the "-" terminal of the other channel .. then hook it up to the sub...however read your owners manual before you do this to see if its possible to bridge your amp.. as I don't want to be responsible for any damage to your equipment.. so check your manual first..
i dont have a manuel. its an older amp i borrowed from my bro. it doesnt have a fuse or anything. is there any other way i can check it out with out going for it and risking its destruction? thanks for the info.
i would try to goto the manufacturer website and find old manuals for it...you need to know if the amp is 2ohm stable before bridging it..
you could also try it, and if it gets hot fast disconnect and don't do it again! (it won't go immidetly, but after 3-5 mins it will get hot to make u feel uncomfortable about letting it go on)
