What year is it, and what size of engine? Of course follow whatever your manual says, I was just curious to see what years recommended 5w20.

the 7th gens IIRC recomend 0w-20 and/or 5w-20

Do a google search. There are probably tens of thousands of pages from forum discussions about this topic.
My car has been seeing Mobil 1 synthetic 5w-30 for as long as I can trace it's ownership. I am up to 273,000 miles and the engine runs well. That's what I'll continue to use.
