fifth gear poppin out!!!!! help please!

Default fifth gear poppin out!!!!! help please!

so i have a b16a2 with a gsr tranny....the swap was done over a year ago with absolutely no problems....just about 2 weeks ago i was cruisin on the freeway home from work in fifth gear and it just popped out....no grind or anything...just popped out...and now about every 5 miles or so it does this....it doesnt seem to be a syncro cuz it would grind right??? please anyone give me some info....thanks

It sounds like the syncro . What else would pop it out like that?

Lemme go find bense or mistabone for ya .

EDIT:
Unless you bent the 5th/R fork - did you have an "incident" with it recently?

Have you checked your fluid?

It could possibly be your synchros, but if you haven't changed the fluid since the swap, go ahead and change it.

how are your mounts looking?

synchros have nothing to do with the gear disengaging, only the gear engagement.

gear oil is low...need to refill. how are the axle seals ? any leaks ?

today i will change fluid after work....i did change it about 5 or 6 months ago......and i havent had incident and the mounts are fine....i will keep you posted....thank you guys....

o i just replaced the seals and cv's 2 months ago....i will go check the seals

dang, hope it dont end up like my old d15b7 tranny...lol...i had to hold it in every gear except 1st gear...lol or else it would pop right out soon as ilet off the gas pedal

ok so when i replaced my cv's i replaced the seals also....when i took them off last night i noticed that i somehow broke the driver side seal....so i was leakin tranny fluid...i had barely any fluid in there...lol....i am pickin up the seal today and some mtf from the dealer....this should fix the prob!!! thank you guys for the help!!!!
