What RPM Should a civic launch @?
My buddy has a 06 civic, we attneding an event @ PIR soon and he is gonna be doing a little drag for fun but he has not owned the car for to long so he is trying to figure out whats the best RPM and how to launch it. Any ideas? Civic has small mods nothing major. thanks guy

yeah thats about what i was thinking. i pretty sure when i had my 04 i was launching @ 4 1/2 but yeah practice make perfect. he is on stock tires too..
Depends on:
Humidity, Temperature (ambient and tire), PSI in Tires, type of tires, altitude, modifications, track quality, and the driver itself.
Just launch at the stand still limiter and feather the clutch. Otherwise he'll have to figure it out for himself on how to do a smooth launch - everyone and every car is different.

Its up to you to know the car, each launch is always going to be different unless you have a program to hold the rpms. Launch off rev-limiter on semi-slicks, the closer to vtec you are, the better off you are, just don't compromise traction. just be warned you probably will cut some life off your diff doing this.
