noises coming from rear end
when i get to about 40-45mph, the rear left side of my car starts to make a rythmic humming noise, then goes away at higher speeds. also, when i go about 60-65 my car has a little vibration and i can tell its from the rear also. just wondering if anyone would know what this could be?? thanks.
wheel is out of balance or the bearing/hub is gone or going. to see if its the bearing take a drive and get up to the speed that the noise is at. do a quick weave and if the noise disappears for a second, the direction you weaved is the side the bearing is bad on. i had that problem on my car, turned out a had a rear bearing full of water.
if thats not your problem, continue driving to the tire shop.

yeah, i did notice that when i would weave the noise would go away. would that also be the same problem when i get up to 60-65? or is that something different? i'm guessing if its vibrating, i'm thinking its out of balance.
if the bearing is REALLY bad that could cause some vibration. its easy enough to check. and the rear hubs are nice and easy to replace if it comes down to that.
