nicked piston wall :(
ok i was messin in my garage and my pistons fell over and got some small nicks on a couple of them. My finger nail catches but if i was very careful could i take a very fine file to the nick ? just wondering i searched to THANKS HT!
If it were me i would take some very fine sand paper and do the best i could to fix them and then see how they turn out to decide if i want to use them. I am sure that many on here would suggest new pistons but you should at least attempt to fix these. It really depends on the damage. Where are they nicked and from how high were they dropped? Also, the surface which counteracted gravity's force on these pistons would be useful info....carpet...concrete?
EDIT: Can you post some pics?
