thats horrible advice.

how is that horrible advice? i got the ecu for http://www.phearable.net my car has been runing good for the pass 1yr
He means that there's no such thing as an "H22 basemap" with a p28. The only thing extracted from the stock p13 code has been the ignition tables. The fuel tables work differently on the p13, so those have to be created by modifying the existing p28 fuel tables. I wouldn't trust someone else's basemap unless I could verify it with a wideband.
Edit: To answer the original question, no a stock p28 map will not work. It is way too lean for the H22.

because chipped ecu's are pieces of ****.
i dont understand why people go the p28/p72 route if they arent going to get tuned.

Depends on the basemap, really. Some work fine, some are ebay type ROMs that have no rev limit, too much fuel and too much timing. Have you seen the A/F curve from a stock H22 on a P13 ECU?
My opinion: H22 with stock P28 = bad. H22 with P28 and H22 basemap = could be fine, but tuning would probably be better.

yea, but most people who buy these things dont have the ability to pull the map up and look at it, much less decipher what everything means to determine if it is good or not.

theres a reason they call it a base map and not a "go drive it around for 2 years" map
because it's a just a starting point(base) to get you going so you can tune the car.
I'm sorry but I personally wouldn't trust an online company to "tune" a map for my car without actually you know.... having my car to tune the map with =P
think about it this way if a stock p28 ran the H22 fine, wouldn't honda just use that as the stock ecu, why waste time and money on fuel tuning and creating a whole new ECU if one you already have would run the engine perfectly fine?

Are you playing on racing? If not just get a P13.
