Default Paint block head and trans

I want to paint this stuff the factorylike color before i drop it into the car. What kind of prep do you guys recomend on aluminum ?

advance auto parts or autozone

High temp paint

color: aluminum

looks good as hell

a clear will dull it a little to look more factory

what about cleaning the block ...just brake clean ? Im not sure what will be easiest.

Brass wire brushes and muratic acid. Get it at pool stores.

Couldnt you also have the motor bead blasted? It will usually give it a clean/dull surface.

just curious if u paint the block, is there a chance the layer of the paint keeps the engine hotter vs just cleaning it?
