Camshaft question?
I have recently been thinking about our cars and how they now use a MAF and speed density air metering system. I was wondering what the capabilities of the the MAF's correction is? And if a pair of mild camshafts would be out of the question with no additional tuning? If anyone wants to chime in on this with any info or other questions it would be appreciated.
only way to know is if we knew the exact capabilities of the MAF. i only delt with MAF while tuning my buddies 240 but he had the ability to control fuel.
if we had a simple VAFC you'd be able to pull off mild cams...maybe alot more but we dont even have that.

I dont think it would really hurt anything but you wouldnt see nearly as good of gains with no tune... i wouldnt suggest it right now. you could always get the Hytech kit though
Changing cams would probably be a bad idea without a tune, since your VTEC crossover would probably be a bit higher in the RPM range you need to be able to tune for it, also the cam phasing from I-VTEC would be off because of the new profile. Best to wait for K-PRO or a kit before you go swapping cams out.
