integra gsr lookin to make it a local drag car!
OK...Anythink would help me now. I just bought myself and integra gs-r and I bet it needs a tune up and a ton of stuff. I want to atleast be able to get to 7000s rpm. I want to make it a local drag car, not that fast but still fast enough to drag some but drive dayly. Really anything you have to tell me would help!
thanks!

Double check to make sure that the motor is in good shape (timing best, no smoke, no knocks, fresh oil) and give it a good tune up. They come from factory with the rev limiter @ 8200rpm, so as long as the moto is healthy, it's not a problem to rev to 8200rpm. As for turning it into a local drag car, it all depents on what you want to do, ie: turbo, nitrous, allmotor and how mcuh $$ u want to spend.

Yeah...I am going to get it tuned hopefully and get it cleaned up. I wanted to get it into the 13s and 14s. Whatever the easiest cheapest way is...
You cheapest way would be to gut the car (big time weight loss) and put some sticky tires. What's your budget? I personally would buy a turbo kit and run low boost.

before you do anything i suggest you read up on the specs of your motor, make sure its good enough to do anything to and go from there....going the cheapest way isnt always the best way..
check with a local perfomance shop im sure they'll help you out..

Hey I drag my daily driver and I don't ask you how to make it faster more than likely because you don't have a clue, but that's okay -

We all have to start someplace and I would say buy a Helms manual for it and not a Chilton or Haynes -

* Helm only sells manuals written by the manufacturer (Original OEM), designed specifically for your vehicle or equipment.
* Original OEM Manuals are more accurate and complete than any other service information available. OEM Manuals contain thousands of pages of diagnostic and repair information!
* These are the same manuals your dealer service center uses so you know you're getting the technical information needed to service and maintain your vehicle or equipment.

Take EK's advice and try to buy as many USED parts as you can. Ebay and this forum go a long way in to helping you accomplish your goal.
Nitrous is the cheapest and easiest way, but if you have no clue on how to make it go faster and lack general car knowledge, I wouldn't suggest nitrous.
All Motor is costly but you can do 13's in a GS-R with basically only top end work, bolt-ons, a tune and stock bottom-end, full weight (minus spare tire and usual things you would remove at the strip)
The EASIEST way and I agree with Adriano, go with some type of simple forced induction. Even a JSRC will get you 13 second passes with a good exhaust, tune and some drag radials....
$500 for a used JRSC kit, might be some issues but unless the blower is toast, this is bargain. - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
Oh replace the ignition igniter as we just did that on my friends '94 GS-R... The one thing on Hondas that ALWAYS FAILS eventually.
Not always good to see somebody else join the ranks of "Me Too" but I guess that's okay -

do what i did at first.
now that u got a gsr make shure the motor is healthy.
then get u a nos kit. put 65shot on her (wet shot) walbro 255pump, better fuel regualtor
its a little pricey but get a quaif, can find them for around 600-700$ u can thank me later.
next buy u set of drag radials. i had bfg's with 17's .
that is all u will need to run mid 2 low 13's all day.
i had this exact setup on bone stock teg with gsr stock exhaust ect.. ran from 13.61 to a 13.49 all day. went to the track about 4-6 times a month & about 9 bottles of nos a month easily for about 1 1/2 years no problen then sold the car.
bear 90% cars that raced me. quaif goes a long way. also my car made 191whp with nos. not alot of power but the quaif made up for it.
tottal cost after i bought the car 1500$ cant beat that
