Default Trans question

i just got back from vacation to florida. when i was in the hotel parking lot one day and i was getting ready to leave i accidentally nudged the shifter while i was giving it a little gas. well, the shifter came right now. the clutch was NOT pressed in. turns out that my shifter will pop out whenever. and it isnt like u have to pull it, it will just come out of gear while driving with normal shifting pressure and no clutch being pushed in. i'll come back and reword this later. i've been driving all day and i'm exhausted but u get the idea i hope. it shouldnt be coming out of gear without compressing the clutch right? anyone else had this issue? when they replaced my motor they told me the tranny was good and didnt need ANY work

Mine pops out of gear into neutral easily without the clutch depressed.

Its normal, giving the car a little gas takes the pressure off the dog teeth in the gearbox, making it so you can slide the car easily out of gear without depressing the clutch. you shouldn't be able to pull it out of gear easily under WOT or heavy deceleration though, thats when you have a problem.
