Default F22A4 airflow

How much air does the F22A4 engine suck in? I have asked many people this question, but never got an answer. I am asking because I want to put either a K&N OEM Replacement panel air filter or an AEM Intimidator intake kit on my 1991 Accord. I need to know the airflow of the F22A4 engine so I can find an Intimidator kit or a K&N filter that will meet or exceed the airflow for the F22A4.

Ugh... I don't think theres a fixed number for that, more of a qualitative measurement. Anyways any aftermarket filter you buy is designed to increase airflow over the stock one. As for performance gains if you get an intake setup, SRI or CAI it will increase flow and power much more than just the oem filter replacement.

if your running the stock air box with all the silencers ect... I think anything will out flow it! Then you get to hear the bwhaaaa when you stomp it!

Essentially what I want to know is the airflow at 100% volumetric efficiency. I want to put a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler on my car, a MagnaFlo high-performance OEM-Replacement catalytic converter, and an AEM Cold-air intake. I don't know how much power I would gain from doing so, though.

its impossible to know what without a dyno. The engine will always change air flow requirements. There are many factors that determine how much air the engine needs to run properly

I'm not trying to give you flak or anything, I'm just curious. Why do you need to quantitatively know the value?

maybe the filters have the values on the boxes and he wants to get one that wont be restrictive.. like it was stated above, most aftermarket filters should be less restrictive than the stock one. plus if you got an AEM CAI like you said, it would come with the filter you needed.

even though running a higher flowing intake and exaughst system will give you some gains, it really wouldn't change the v.e. Now with that turbo that is forced induction, which normally will surpass 100% efficiency. A N/A car will never pass 100% why because that is the maximum amount of air that can flow into the combustion chamber. if you wanted to figure out the actual numbers you would have to find a flow bench. to really increase the numbers then head work, like a port and polish, larger valves, etc.
once again though you can not go past 100% efficiency with out forced induction, which will compress the air molecules thus getting more air then what the motor can pull in at that atmospheric pressure.
