195/45/16 on 16x8???
well heres the thing.. i hear ppl using this size tire on their cars. i was wondering if anyone has pictures of it. or even 205/45/16 with a 16x8... i will not be racing or anything with these wheels.. i just want it mainly for cruising.. cause i found some wheels i been wanting and its 16x8 and offset is kinda low so i thought maybe if i stretch the tires a little, i can fit these on my car.. any help anyone?? thanks
Most 195/45-16 tires are approved only for use on rims 6.0-7.5 inches wide, and most 205/45-16 are approved only for 6.5-7.5. I wouldn't use either one on a 16x8 rim. Get the proper size rims for the proper size tires for your car.
What kind of car is this for?

this is for a civic but the wheels are mainly for show... not really show, but somewhat... im not gonna drive on this on a daily basis... i seen many many vw and drifters use very thiner tires and stretch them but i wanna see some side pictures of them... i know it wont be the safest thing but i really like these wheels and they look really nice stretched.. i seen ppl use a 0 offset before.. with really stretched tires.. so a 25 offset with somewhat stretched tires should be ok, wouldnt it? thanks for your help

here is how a 205/40 will look on 16x8 wheel with zero offset. the white DA. 195/45 is almost the same but just a little taller then 205/40
i wont lie.... i have stretched tires before..my experience with stretched tires on my old ae86 and 240sx have been really bad..my tire sidewalls wore out very fast using the wheels for daily driving.... but then again, i was stretching like 15x9 on 205/50 and so on.
i would just stick to using stock sized tires and rolling your fenders and/or slight camber for that 25 offset for sure. here are some pics of a civic with fatty 245 or 225 i think w/ a 15x8:

u can probably get away with 215/45 depending on what year civic you have but i recommend rolling your fenders for this and/or slight camber.

i found a different picture of the 195/45 on 16x8.. it loks really crazyy.. so the 205/40 on 16x8, in your opinion, is that safe? would it still wear pretty bad? i have a 03 civic right now but im working on a 96 and thats where these wheels will be going on.. thanks for the help

Most 205/40-16 tires are approved for mounting on rims 7.0-8.0 inches wide, so yes, you could get away with it.
Note - On the '96 Civic, 205/40-16 is the best 16" size for DX and hatchback models ONLY. For all other models of '96 Civic, 205/45-16 (or 215/45-16) is the best 16" size.
I still think you're better off with 16x7 or 16x7.5 wheels. But if you must use 16x8 wheels, then I strongly recommend using a size for which that width is approved - meaning, 205/40-16 for a DX or hatchback '96 Civic, 215/45-16 for any other '96 Civic. If you want the stickiest tire you can get on dry pavement, and you don't mind if it wears quickly (10-12K miles) and is so-so in rain, then get the Falken Azenis RT-615, which is available in both those sizes. If you want a longer-lasting tire (25-40K miles) and/or one that does well in rain, and you don't mind trading off a little less dry grip (still decent, but less), then get the Kumho SPT in 205/40-16 for your '96 Civic DX or hatchback, or the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 in 215/45-16 for any other '96 Civic.
