k20a2 type S swap????
The k20a3 comes with a 5spd (from a base RSX). The 5spd is also favored for boost cause of the longer gears which keeps you in boost longer. A lot of boosted clubrsx guys are switching from the 6spd to 5spd. They're blowing out their 3rd gears in the 6spds. People haven't found any issues like that in the 5spd yet, well they have just not as many! like curioz said it would be awesome for power but you have a high % of things breaking!
actually 6 spds can be fine by swapping out the final drive ratios for a lower final drive. and as for the k20a3, crankwalk above 300whp is a big possibility. plus, he really needs to search on which k20 he wants, how much power he wants NA or Boost, and how much he wants to spend.
isnt there a faq about this already? alot of u guys say that a major disadvantage of k-swapping is a higher percentage of it breaking?? If its done right by a shop that knwos what there doing professionally then there should be no higher % of it breaking. ecspecially since its still a N/A motor and a pretty close perfect drop in with the hasport mounts..
im not talking about the motor itself... im talking about all the misc parts that go with it. people with swaps always talking about a rattle here or a rattle there and never stop dropping money into it

One of the reasons putting me off swapping.

I agree to that, unless you have the money to keep upgrading. Personally I am boosting my stock engine and I believe that's enough. Not like I'm gonna get to the 200 M/Hour mark on these roads anyways. lol
