Default is 800$ a good deal?

I know were i can get a 93 civic, black , body is kinda beat up, steel wheels, nice interior, motor and tranny out but they come with it only comes with a z series motor, not sure wich one, windows are tinted, none cracked, and he said come with some aftermarket parts? idk what, what do you think?

yea it runs, can anyonw give me the low down on the d16z motors, are they the same as the d16y minus the v-tec? whats the diff?

I would say go for it. Make sure that there aren't any hidden jabs in there with the purchase. (stolen, rebuilt title etc.)

the guy is probley talking about zc, the sohc and the dohc. the guy might think theres a z series or something lol

d16z6's are basically the same as the d16y8, accept the y8 is a little more powerful than the z6.

The d16z6 does have VTEC just to let you know, if you thought it didn't. The d16z6's are rated at around 126 hp and 108 tq to the flywheel.

Man just swap it into DOHC B20/ or b18b are fairly cheap and easily boosted!! Look into that for some real power.

Cept alot EG's diddnt come with vtec so he may just have a d15 or something

If you want a clean body and nice paint add 2000-2500 to the price man. For that same price you can start with something complete and in good condition.

My feeling is if someone never cared for the care or really abused it, it effects the entire car...you might be going through every single part on that car making it right.

Now if you dont care about the exterior just throw on some cheap aftermarket oem style fenders, hood etc go to maaco you should be fine...well for a year or so. The first time someone bumps your car with a shopping cart it will probably dent...the first winter with pebbles hittng your front end it will all chip away...you get the idea.

it needed new ball joints, it wasnt starting, there was no intake on the intake manifold. I drove it and i felt as if my auto z6 at the time was just as fast

For a 95 I still would have swooped on it and made it into a project.

OP: For 800 I would go for it, especially if the body just had minor dents and no rust. If its the fenders/hood/bumpers that are beat up you can easily find used ones in good condition for cheap.

Ok so i talked to the guy again. its a d16z6 with 200,000 miles on the motor, some rust right were the rear bumper meet the body in the wheel well on both sides brand new oem front bumper and headlights....5 speed tranny...hmm idk what else. what are some good pistons to put in the z6 when i decide to rebuild. planning to be non n/a as of now?

If it's the D16z6 then it's a sohc vtec motor. It was in 92-95 EX or Si models (your car should have a power moonroof)

I would love to have a stock EX or Si... good AutoX car for H Stock and gets mid to high 30's mpg on the highway.
