Finally got a good night to make a couple of full passes on the first kit. I was leaving soft compared to normal only launching at 6800 or so. Car felt really good, track was hooking, and I drove it home so it can't be a bad night

Yeah, it's slipping a little in second. I am going to have to upgrade to something stouter. I think I am going to try a 3 puck next. Right now it's an ACT xtreme with an unsprung 6 puck.

Around 80 or so, weather is really bad right now so power is down. It's hot as hell and humidity is in the 70's and 80's with the wet bulb bs in the 60's. Harsh drag racing weather.
that act is slipping? how many miles do you have on it? from your traps id say your making around 280-300hp, and i think that clutch is rated for 400 ftlbs.
make me nervous about mine, though it seems to be handling my 300 ftlbs ok for now

Setup is Mahle forged 9cc dome pistons, shotpeeded LS rods with ARP's, ACL bearings, vtec oil and water pumps, pro fab header, S2 manifold, springs, retainers, and stg two cams, Circuit hero velocity stack, nitrous kit is a simple single nozzle kit on that pass with an MSD 6al and MSD 3 stage retard to control timing while spraying.
Tranny is a B16 S4c, stock axles (been in three cars of mine now, they are my lucky axles lol) ACT xtreme with 6 puck, and finally omnipower full coilovers with 12kf and 12kr.
Tore the tranny out last night to put in a prolite flywheel, clutch isn't slipping. It must have been tire spin. I have used these clutches for years in cars that made a lot more power than this one, I just thought maybe it couldn't take the hit of tq in a bottle. The old flywheel and PP were mint, no hot spots, no scarring so we will this thursday if I can improve it a little.

Just didn't see the point in the rods with as mild as the setup is. Stock rods work fine for what I am doing.
Over the winter, I will rebuild and go bigger and it will have sleeves and all forged internals then but when I was building this one, I just wanted to put together a 12 second all motor car that would be happy with being daily driven. The idea of spraying the car and just seeing how far we can go on stock rods and sleeves was just something that came up along the way.

Very nice man.
I don't know if I have the motor to hold it this year but I am trying for similar 1/8 times in the end. Current best is 7.65@95. I also have a second tank, pump, and direct port setup that is going in the car whenever I get enough time away from other people's cars to intall it all.
I plan to see what the limit is on stock sleeves and rods when detonation isn't a factor
