Default (Searched) CEL Codes 6 & 22, h22a, vtec not hitting.

Today we checked the CEL

it was throwing codes 6 & 22

6= IAT sensor
22= Vtec Oil Pressure Sensor

We took the IAT sensor from my other lude and put it in still no change
Took off the vtec soleniod, the screen was great, but still cleaned it.
Still nothing, checked oil. im about a half a quart low..

what oil type should i use?

Where is the vtec oil pressure sensor?
im gonna do some more searching..if anyone has any suggestions please post.

the VTEC pressure switch is in the VTEC solenoid. so you either need oil, or your solenoid could be done. i dont think its the OPS on the back of the block, but i could be wrong. fill your oil.

ground the solenoid and see if it clicks.

having a service manual really helps.

10w30 will work. The thicker the oil, the more pressure. vtec works off oil pressure and as long as the ecu see's a certain oil pressure, vtec will work.
