new exhaust
I'm looking to buy a new exhaust for my 2005 honda civic vp coupe, im looking for somthing with a nice deep subtle tone, i dont want anything thats going to make my car sound like a weed wacker, and price is an issue also, i dont want to spend a whole lot, but i understand you get what you pay for, so reasonably priced suggestions would be great.
thanks

The tanabe medalion concept g is not all that expensive but is well worth it. Heres a link to it.

don't spend too much on a exhaust..
i've heard a sound clip of an es tuning muffler w/ resonator on 2.25in piping. it's not bad doesn't sound ricey at all.
as for me I just dislodged my muffler. sounds really deep and not loud at all. it's actually more quiet than del sols or integras w/ dislodged muffler.

It all depends on the quality of the product. You have 3 options.
A) A decent muffler can be found for under $100, and you can pay a muffler shop to weld it on for you.
B) You can purchase an axle-back exhaust for $120-$200 (I snagged a dented Vibrant TPV for $100 shipped). Installation is a snap, 2 bolts and a gasket.
C) Decent cat-back exhaust (axle-back + mid-pipe) will run you $200-$600+ for all stainless construction with a variety of canister shapes and silencer.
Personally, I am happy with my Vibrant axle-back. Not only was it cheap and easy to install, but I don't think that an exhaust should be where you put your money into an 01-05 Civic. The OEM pipes are mandrel bent already (didn't see any crimp-bends), and are a sufficient diameter given our powertrain layout. A quality muffler or rear-section will do the trick just fine.
Search your options, do your homework before you buy.
