I have a bomb attached to my seatbelt... wtf???
lol i was changing out my seatbelts last night and went to remove my oem seatbelt and of course it had the airbag wires attached and I cut those off because my new EP3 seats didnt have the sensors and I plan on getting a new steering wheel so no point in them anyways.... my question is....
when i pulled the seatbelt off it had a black cylinder attached to it that said...
Warning this device has explosive material inside. Dont not tamper with or could result in serious injury..... something along those lines....
wtf is that?? I could just leave them on there.... but i would like to take it off.... any suggestions on how to remove that thing??

It activates when you drive faster than 50MPH, if you slow to under 50MPH... BOOM!
That or it's the pyrotechnic seat belt tensioner.

I don't know man could be a terrorist planted that there. You might want go to ahead and give homeland security a call. Just let the bomb squad defuse your seatbelt for you.

I've read of some cars having pyrotechnic charges as a means of pretensioning the seatbelt when a crash is impending. It will just yank you back in your seat. If it were me I wouldn't tamper with it. Lots of very smart people spent lots of time and money making sure that thing works appropriately and reliably to minimize the trauma on you if you crash.
