Default B20Z Opinion

Quick opinionated question for anyone who knows how to upgrade honda's.
I just bought a 97 ex with a B20Z(not installed yet) i already have the ls mani, gsr ecu, axles, clutch and trani, 99 si motor mounts. Is there anything im missing. Also people are telling me to just keep it stock and boost it and some are telling me to go N/A. Any opinions// experiences thatll help. I also want this to be a reliable car as much as possible. Thanks

Tell em Mingz! b18c1ej8 is right, due to the design of the b20 block, the space between sleeves is a weak point. Many people will argue that they can withstand a substantial amount of power over stock, but if you take the amount of stories about cracked b20 sleeves vs. cracked b16/b18, you will easily see they are more prone to failure. As far as the NA vs. FI arguement goes, I really don't think it matters as long as you keep the revs under 8500 and power in the low-mid 200whp region, it should be equally reliable. I say go FI because you can't even argue hp per dollar between the two.

Edit: Just noticed this was your first post, things to remember on honda-tech 1) Always search before you ask (otherwise e-gangrape is inevitable) and 2) Get your post count up noob, because around here having a lot of posts is like being the smartest guy with the biggest d**k lol.
Hope you learned a lot.

I would trade your GSR ECU for a LS ECU. GSR will toss some codes for IAB's & VTEC.

Also, I would stay N/A & beat around w/ it.

I suggest you look @ FI another time if you really want that.
