do you still have stock shifter? or was it touched at all. the bolt to your shifter might be too tight for the bearings in the shifter not to move enough.

also, there might be crap on the ball on the shifter, clean it and lube it up y0

k actually it might be my clutch now...how do you know when your clutch is gonan go?

right now...i got the same problems while car is in motion...smooth as a baby when its idled...switching gears while in motion is a lil tough as mentioned above....BUT however...i noticed as I'm driving and then I lert it cruise....whiel the rpm drops...I would be in first gear and it'll start to make actions like it wants to stall...could this be a bad clutch and not holding on?? and also when i step into the clutch..its qutie stiff...it was liek this before i bought it...could it be the clutch?? I'm sorta thinking it is now...

bad clutch not holding on?? that makes no sense. maybe SLIPPING, if your shifter is making actions then your synchros might be wearing out.

you know ur clutch is going out when it starts slipping, or the springs in the clutch break, or what not. your clutch goes when YOU don't go anymore because there is no contact between the transmission and the flywheel (to the motor).

it's something with your shifter, shift linkage or internals in the tranny. take advice from above and see how that works for ya

I will gurentee it has nothing to due with your shift lever. It is a bad syncro or syncro caseing. They wear out and make it though to get into gear and it doesnt have to grind to mean its bad. The reason its nothing to do with the shift linkage is because you said the other gears work fine. If they work fine, they why would it only need cleaning for one gear? Also, when you shift...there is a lot or torque put on the lever. You are not going to feel a bad bearing in there and last; civic shifters dont even come with a bearing in there.........Mike

Change the tranny fluid, and USE HONDA MTF. I had the same problem and it went away.

try changing the tranny fluid.. its worth a try, doesnt cost that much and good for your tranny anyway especially if its due for a change... then if that doesnt solve it.. work from there..

yes they do, as well as integra shifters. it's located at the bottom of the shifter, right where the end of the shift linkage bolts onto the shifter.

Civic ends are smaller then integras and do not have a bearing setup in them.

it's not the bearing you are probably thinking of (like in axles), but there are bearings on the bottom of shifters, as well as integra's.
