i need mid range!!!
96 GSR
so here is my problem after upgrading to CAI, RS*R catback, carsound cat, and JDM ITR 4-1 header, my car rips on the upper end, but midrange it just stinks.
I have a vafc installed, but not tuned, but I dont think that is gonna help me out at all on the midrange. (vtec reset to upper 5k, when it was lower car bogged).
What upgrades should i do (within price reason of 600 or under is most worthwhile to grab some power, i want good power from 4k-8k (autocross)
suspension and tires and all that stuff is already done, just need midrange.
suggestions? Cams? (need to have stock idle and still have good engine relability)

if u didnt already have the JDM header i would tell u 2 get the comptech 4-2-1 if gives u gains everywhere unlike the JDM 4-1 most of it is top end. But u could look for bigger injectors would be a good bit of power....
i heard the stock injection system is good for lots more than what im putting in it,
i need more air in the lower end not fuel.
i want super reliable though, thats why nitrious supercharger and turbo are out. Just a slightly more aggressive cam is ok, but not too much

actually...get ITR cams...they have decent potential and badass midrange.....better than skunk2s....or u could do a Jun2 intake/Itr exhaust cam combo that one has crazyass midrange from the dynoplots i've seen,
itr or skunk2 stage 1 cams. I got my 01 itr for 400bux and installed them myself. Midrange and high end pull like crazy and all i have is an intake and tb.

JRSC for autocross is an amazing investement... then again I'll let those guys tell you themselves... its pretty low maintenance if its installed right.... just change the belt every 10-15k... thats nothin. Just a thought thats all... not trying to preach here.
