Default stock b16 boost?

is it worth it to boost a stock b16? i cant really afford to build my motor right now but have come across a good deal on a greddy turbo kit. could i gain anything on stock internals or will i just blow it to ****? im a noob when it comes to turbos and im just begging my long awaited search.

first thing people are going to tell you is to search

if its tuned right than it should last pretty long with only a greddy kit.

Ive heard good things about the Greddy kit on stock motors. You should be able to net some good gains while easily keeping the car streetable and dependable. Whatever you do dont cheap out on the tune. A quality tune is really what makes or breaks a motor, ESPECIALLY a turboed motor. Also a general tune up is a good idea,(oil, plugs, air filter, timing belt, etc.).
