Default B18C5: Sleeve Life with Forged Pistons - 81.5mm

Greetings!

I have no exp. with forged pistons and recently was asked about them for a C5.
The application is said to be street/HPDE in the 200whp range and a 9200rpm
operating limit. Without getting into brands, lets just say that its a major brand
piston and said to be installed properly. If the block already has 50K on it at
a re-finished diameter of 81.5mm, how much service life can be expected?

Thanks,

Mike

thats kinda imposible to tell; too many variables
are you asking about ring life or how long it would take for the sleeves to crack?
sleeve should not just crack, ill egg shape over time; rings and other things should go out first
running a tighter PTWC will improve reliability
