90 CRX DX

Knocking when I turn both ways. My roommate just had one axle replaced, but I don't know which. The car just got dumped on me and have no contact to them.

It knocks louder when turning right. Driver side axle?

 

does it jump or anything while turning?

 

no jumping.

only knocks in turns when the gas is being applied.

when going straight it's pretty loud like bad bearings.

 

axles are bad

 

Roll down the windows and go to a parking lot at night and you'll figure out which one is knocking.

 

X2... either one or both of the axles are bad...The parking lot idea isnt a bad idea either... just to be sure which one it is.

I used the P&R lot before my bus came today. Driver side is noisy.

mine is doing the same exact thing! and i replaced both my axles and it still does it.

 

You should check out your wheel bearings then... let us know what you find!

Mine too, i had them changed, and i still get a knock/click only when I turn, no noise when i drive straight.

 

yea might be ur wheel bearings. press in some new ones

 

Sounds like you need to check out the axles and the wheel bearings. Let us know when you find out.

 

crx's don't like 5k rpm for very long. hahaha my axles snaped in half like when i first got my car!

 

that sucks. had the same problem, but an axle replacement fixed the problem.

 

is there a chance that this can lead to a further devastating problem? or is it just an annoyance?

 

I have a knocking sound whenever I make a left turn. I've replaced everything (bearings, axles, upper/lower ball joints, tie rods, rack end bushing) and it's still there. I'm thinking it might be a motor mount or exhaust moving around.

 

well both my cv axles snapped in half about an hour ago i just got back to the house!!!! what a fu***n night!!!
